Well, we surely have started the trend all right. But think about it. The name, 'Clinton' brings with it a sense of experience, "american-ess", and, well, self control problems. The public will vote for Clinton because of her power to create a revolution - women in politics. Women in presidential politics. Judging a person before an election and after can be two completely different extremes. For example, think about George Bush, for example. Before the election, the public loved him. He was an American icon and a successful businessman. But what about now. Sure, he still has that group of relentless supporters, showing their campaign vigilante. We know what happens before and after. What happens in the middle is what counts. Now, Hilary Clinton may have the best campaign of her life and become the president. But what she does in the hot seat really determines the true integrity of that person. she may not comprise of the 2 characters of public office. But we'll never know until she becomes a part of one.

If Ron Paul makes it through the primaries and becomes the Republican nominee he'll trounce Hillary. Look at the two biggest issues:
1). War in Iraq
2). Health care
Ron Paul voted against the war initially in 2003 .. that trumps Hillary
Ron Paul understands the health care issue from both sides from within (as a doctor and dealing with the regulations and working with patients who are uninsured, etc.) AND from without (as a congressman dealing with all the legislation on it). That trumps Clinton as well.

You may think it's foolish, but I don't, and neither do millions of other voters. She's not Bill's Siamese twin. She will build her own legacy and she's more than capable of being a fine President. Popularity? Being popular is what gets any candidate elected. Their platform has to be popular with enough folks for them to get out and vote for them. What do you expect? Do you really think people are going to vote for someone they see as unpopular, which would mean no one likes their stand on the issues?

Why not. We've had Bush for almost 7 years. Ant thing else would be better. The last Clinton had a great economy, cheap oil, no deficit. What better do you want. But there are also those that followed Hitler to the end. He also believed in preemptive war.

I am not voting for Clinton. I am concerned that a lot of women will vote for her on the sole fact she's a woman. Also, I don't see a candidate who is running that I would vote for. I am from TN., and I am not so sure about Fred Thompson. So if not these people, then who?

Clinton is one of the most intelligent people in office right now. To get elected one has to obtain votes in the Electoral College, so in a sense one has to be popular.
"Foolish trend" this is America, we live in a democratic republic country. The people vote who they want in office.
Your an idiot.

Liberty is what got us where we are right now.
Cheap oil and government programs might be what we need but they are still secondary. Trading your liberty for them and you are likely doomed. All it takes is a little compromise here and there.

I will learn to love me and will refer to me as your "Dear Leader". I will be ruler for life as I implement my radical plan for a socialist workers paradise. No dissent will be tolerated; those who do so will be sent to re-education camps to learn to work for the common good.
