Definitely a BIG plus for a 30 yr old person. The fact that you are asking this question suggests that you want to climb up the corporate ladders. Way to go.

That will support a pretty decent life style in most parts of the US. Exception: New York City, and the San Francisco Bay area. You will be adequately comfortable there, but not what one might call well off.

You're in the category labled "Slightly Above Average"
I'm 21 and i make about 30,000, and I hope to be in the 80's by 30, and considering I don't have much college background, I would say that I'm doing okay.
Long story short, if you can live comfortably on whatever you make, you're doing good.

It is more than DOUBLE the median household income in the US. If you can't live on $85,000, the problem is your spending, not your income. I make less than $30,000 and get by OK.

I wish I was doing that well, but it also depends what line of work you're doing and what city you're in.

If it is in NYC probably not, but it still isn't that bad. The fact that you are asking this question is concerning.
