classic book by leo tolstoy. I have heard it's different for some people. I read it twice. The first time i thought it was the easiest read..I read it eight years later..I had a tough time with the darn thing. The library should have war and peace, you can get it through any bookstore. You can probably find a used copy at www.abebooks.com. I would recommend this book for you. can you recommend me a good read....message me plz.

I would imagine most libraries, book stores, and a lot of online stores (like amazon) would have it.
It is pretty advanced and at times complicated reading (partially because it is a translation from a Russian novel), only you would know if it is at the right level for you when you read it (or attempt). The version we have has 1424 pages, I'm not sure if that changes in other editions or not.

The only thing thats hard to understand in this book is the russian names and the french words that they do not translate. I mean u can use context clues to figure out what the words mean and there is only like maybe one or 2 words in french every couple chapters. but is it hard to read? NO, is it long yeah. I enjoyed the book alot and i am a person who almost always read sci fi/fantasy books.

Try eBay. I can find anything on eBay. I don't know how many pages it is. Yes, I would recommend it to a Freshman in High school.

Your library BETTER have a copy! Although embarrassingly, mine doesn't.

It's about a 1200 pages, but once you get into it, and if you can keep the characters straight, a motivated high schooler with a high reading level should have no trouble with it.

I'm sure it's something your school or town library would have. Why not call in there or check their online catalogue? Alternatively, you could find a copy on a booksearch website such as my favourite site, www.bookfinder.com. They are bound to have a cheap copy there.

Amazon.com is always good, but I also recommand shopping around a bit to. Though Amazon has great deals, its not always the cheapest. Try half.com and a general search on google or yahoo.
