Honest question? Really? Seems like the Supreme Queen of the World would know the answer to the question; especially since its so obvious as to why they cannot do anything! Our esteemed President vetoes any bill by the Democrats sent for his consideration. It takes a two thirds vote by the entire Congress & then the Senate to get a bill past the veto. That means that some Republicans must vote with the Democrats, they aren't doing it! The Republicans seem to think that no one understands this & so will blame everything on the Democrats. Which is exactly what many are doing! That's why there are so many questions such as yours! Don't mean to hurt your feelings but, perhaps a quick read of the Constitution would be helpful.

interior the interest of united states of america and our all destiny one might very plenty desire so. although, the modern election effects enable me doubt the understanding of the american electorate. And one has additionally to contemplate that the Democratic party has neither carried out ok nor produced many charismatic leaders on the grounds that Clinton. i'm additionally disenchanted via the Democrats' everyday silence (aside from some choose persons) in regard to the unlawful profession of Iraq and the wars the Bush administration has began in 3 Asian states. in the event that they like to regain administration, they're going to would desire to speak up, be heard and furnish an determination to the mess Bush has created.

Slandered and censured Rush Limbaugh from the floors of congress, where they are protected from prosecution of the offenses. Censure is a process by which a formal reprimand is issued to an individual by an authoritative body. Rush Limbaugh is a private citizen and this has no bearing on him. Another useless waste of time by the democrat party. Now his audience will increase and more people will be exposed to the truth about their representatives.

They did approve raising the minimum wage. It is debatable if that was beneficial or not but I can't think of any other really meaningful legislation they have passed. They may over-ride Bush's current veto of the expansion of the SCHIPs program, again not really sure that is beneficial either.....

Honest answer: They have made more people aware of Rush Limbaugh. By talking of censuring Rush, sending a letter to his boss, ranting about him on the floor of the house, they have made people curious about Rush, they tune in to Rush, and some of them become loyal listeners. This benefits the country because more people are informed of the issues facing America.

Democrats in Congress have made significant strides in passing important legislation on economic competitiveness, ethics reform, economic security, health, homeland security, troop readiness, veterans’ health care, Iraq policy, energy independence, medical research, and Gulf Coast revitalization. After nearly a decade of Republican control, Democrats are delivering on our promise to take America in a new direction.

Well, considering they only hold a 51% majority I don't really see that they can do much of anything.
Your republicans are just as much to blame for this mess we are in.
The people of the United States are making it quite clear that they do not like either party right now.
Give me all the thumbs down you want. But every bit of the above that I just stated is fact. 30% approval for Bush less then that for the nearly 50/50 split of Congress.
Have the democrats tried to end the war? No. Have the republicans? No.
