Ryan - Boy (neighborhood boy was Ryan when I was a kid)
Jamie - Girl (I'm a product of the 70s when there were lots of girl Jamies.....The only boy Jaime I remember was that dorky kid on the TV show Small Wonder)
Sidney - boy (although I agree that it is very pretty as a girl name, but I don't like that trend of naming girls boy names...)
Robin - Girl (Robert is a boy, Robin is a girl, in my world anyway! LOL)
Adrian - Boy - but this is tough - I would say this one can really go either way.....
Drew - Boy
Blair - Girl (The Facts of Life character Blair! LOL)
Hayden - Boy, DEFINITELY
Payton - Girl
Pat - Well, it depends - it could be either. I've known plenty of Patricks that went by Pat, but my grandmother was also "Pat"
Lee - Id say this one is very unisex too. I have a friend (girl) named Lee, and don't know any guys named Lee, but I still can see it as a boy's name too.....
Carson - Boy
Taylor - Boy
Quinn - Boy

I think they are all unisex, but I'll say which I personally think is which
Ryan - boy b/c it's still primarily used for boys
Jamie - girl b/c it's a little feminine for a boy unless it's a nickname
Sidney - boy b/c i'm biased! It's my hubby's 1st name although it's now mostly a girl's name so if he wants a namesake it will be a girl named Sydney.
Robin - girl b/c it's mostly a girl's name now
Adrian - boy b/c the spelling is kind of masculine. I think a better spelling for a girl might be Adrienne
Drew - boy b/c the only female Drew I know of is Barrymore
Blair - i don't know i really do like it so i have no opinion on this one
Hayden - this is 50/50 for me
Payton - girl b/c I think Payton is a more feminine spelling than Peyton
Pat - see "Blair" explanation
Lee - boy b/c I consider Leigh the female spelling
Carson - boy b/c i think it's a bit too masculine for a girl especially when she's young
Taylor - equal split
Quinn - girl although only 60/40

What makes you think that it's a girl or boy??? and why
Ryan -my first thought is boy (I flashed Ryan O'Neil)
Jamie -either as I knew people of both genders with this name
Sidney -boy
Robin -boy (Robin Williams..my favorite actor)
Adrian -boy
Drew -boy
Blair -girl
Hayden -girl
Payton -??
Pat -boy (ex husband's name)yuk
Lee -girl (a female cousin's name)
Carson -boy
Taylor -boy (
Taylor Hicks)
Quinn -boy (first kiss was a boy named Quinton)
So I guess my first thought comes from connecting it with someone I knew of a particular gender..it is only because I see after looking at the list, they could be either gender that I think of the 2nd gender after instinctively picking based on previous associations with the name and the gender of people with it either personal contacts or people I know, celebrities, or book characters.

I'd think they were all boys, except for Sidney, Blair and Payton. Possibly Robin. And for those, I'd have to ask.
Not sure what makes a name seem masculine or feminine - I guess it's just what you're used to.

For the most part most of them look like boy names, but I know of a few that could works as girl names. (I know some girls with those names.) My daughter's name is Taeler and she has a friend named Hayden. I also know of a couple of girls who are named Jamie. sometimes just changing the spelling will effect witch gender you would consider the who the name is for.
