And when they mention an "engines displacement" what do they mean? It's not speed is it? I thought that was what hp was for?

Displacement is the measurement of the engine volume in all cylinders, taking cylinder area times stroke lenth times number of cylinders. Cubic centimeter is a metric volume measurement. It could also be called a 1.3 liter engine. 1000 cc = 1 liter

CC stands for cubic centimetres.It refers to the total amount of fuel/air mix that the cylinders can hold.Hence 1300cc means a total fuel/air mix volume of 1300 cubic centimetres.

CC is Cubic Centemeters, it is the metric version of Cubic Inch Displacement (CID). Horsepower is really not what creates speed either, it is gear ratios

it means cubic centimeters its how big the cylinder is , the bigger the cylinder the more power it has the transmission gives it speed
