The tire came off the rim of a lawnmower. I'm unable to put the tire back on the rim so that it can be re-inflated. How do I put the tire back on so that it fits on the rim so that when I put the air back in it stays in.

Right before I checked on here for possible solutions, I managed to kind of get the ....rim completly inside the tire. Is there a war around this, now it is like I have the opposite problem of what I started with....first I could not get the tire around the rim, and now I cannot get the rim from inside of the tire.

Note: I tired the rope and soap suggestion immediately after I read it, and it appears that that would have worked...if I was trying to do that when I first needed to get the tire around the rim. Unfortunaately however, it appears that that trick is just making the tire engulf the rim even more. Thanks for all of your help in advanced.

The easiest way is to have it mounted by a automotive service shop. But if that's not your thing...and I've done this on rare occasions, is to use soap, a car-jack, block of wood.Place the semi mounted tire/rim underneath a vehicle, place the block of wood on the tire, place the jack in between and start jacking slowly you my need a rubber mallet to help persuade it on.

Coat the tire bead with liquid dish soap. Take a piece of rope and tie it around the tire. Use a large screwdriver or bar to twist the rope. This will tighten the rope and spread the tire out and seat it on the wheel. You should now be able to inflate it.
