As far as we know there has never been "nothing". This is an assumption that some people make because it "sounds" right but not based in any fact.
Obviously there are planets, stars, humans, and many other things. God and souls are questionable as there is no evidence for them.

I've thought of this before. If there is nothing at all after we die, how would we be able to care? It's like when you are asleep, you slobber, kick covers off, and basically are unaware of the world around you.You're "temporarily" dead. It would be nice if there truly is all the things you mentioned though. We all hope so.
