Why did the Islanders cut Bryan Berard??? I know they're dumb...but that doesn't make any sense!!!

I heard his eye is supposedly fine, his play has been solid since his comeback.

I wonder if he's still having vision problems? He never really recovered 100% from that terrible eye injury.

It was Berard's decision. I was talking to Nolan yesterday by phone. He thought Berard looked good, came to camp in shape, worked hard etc, but Berard to Nolan that he wasn't 'comfortable' and wanted to try and look elsewhere. They were also $600K a year apart in contract talks too.

He was useless. I'm an Isles fan and front office worker. He worked really hard, but just didn't have what it took to make the club. We wish him the best.
