Probably because white people watch all television, a 'WET' station would fail because white people don't like fitting into little boxes that the media creates for them. Most blacks don't either, but apparently enough do to create a station that tells them exactly how to act. The most stereotypical shows on television: BET. Makes black people look ignorant, but I guess you label yourself BET and its entertainment, otherwise its racism.

Not necessarily a simple question.

Blacks and other people who have been unfairly discriminated against, will be always be a 'minority' for as long as they themselves think that. In actual fact whites are the real minority race in the world.

Same goes for women. Similarly I've always been annoyed with 'women's studies' and 'women's channels' (though I suppose that there's now SPIKE) but anyways those distinctions are uneccessary.

I support feminism and I support equality among races but as long as people separate themselves from the mainstream, and carve out their own little enclaves, its just going to slow down the process.

Similarly in most countries where there has been class discrimination when people try to change to be more inclusive, it is usually the LOWER classes that are most against the change. They have bought into a mindset that makes it uncomfortable for them to think that they are equal when others are offering them exactly that.

Why don't you study the history of BET and you will have your answer. As a matter of fact study U S history!

Why is there a women's channel? (lifetime)
Why is there a men's channel (spike TV)
Why is there a country and music channel. (CMT) How many black people do you see on this channel??

Heres a clue whites are the majority in this country!

Or are you just practicing your white superiority!

Poor Victim!

Peace!

Because people of color are the most racist. They can say whatever they want to each other and do whatever they want to each other.

If I use the N word, I might as well say good bye to this sweet life.

If I assault a person of color, it's a hate crime.

Look at the "facts" of this Jenna 6 case. The black contingency wants to discount the assault on the white kid, and pretends that nooses (hung over a year ago) were more serious.

That would be strange. besides who would watch it? and if there were a "WET" you would need "AET" for asians and there is already a british station but the bottom line is that no one cares and well BET is mainly hip hop and R&B and all that good stuff.
