as usual, i ask with tongue-in-cheek.
now there was going to be a whole list of comparisons, but i'm short on time so i'll just state the most obvious now, & hopefully will come back later & add more, but enough of the explanations....

JAMES BOND, dispite being a spy (a secret society in allot of aspects) is WORLD RENOUN, i think because of his suave "bond, james bond" line he uses to get the ladies.
FREE MASONS are also HIGHLY KNOWN, but admittidly, i doubt for the same reason.

Of course you know that the Freemasons are a real organization and James Bond is a fictional character, and since one of the requirements of membership in the Freemasons is that you exist, he would have a hard time getting voted in!

Being a Freemason myself, I can assure you that most are the guys wouldn't quite cut the mustard in the British Secret Service. They're too fat! A few less beef dinners and glasses of wine, and then, MAYBE!

Seriously though, MI6 organizations are MUCH more secretive than the Masons. The only thing we keep secret is our little words and handshakes that we use to identify one another, and even that info can be found online. While it would be really cool to hang out with James and even scoop up some of his sloppy seconds, I doubt he'd have time to be able to go to our Lodge meetings and discuss what charities to give money to or decide what we are going to have for dinner at the next meeting!
