The truck will start right up and run fine, but about 5 minutes later I can hardly pull away from a stop light, I have to rev it up and ride the clutch, once it reaches approx 1500 rpm it runs fine. I have changed plugs, wires, rotor button, cap, fuel filter, I ran a can of Sea Foam through it. I thought maybe it was the engine temp sensor, but everything I've read about them say the engine is hard to start when they fail. I don't want to start just shotgunning parts at it. I have been told it was anything from the idle air control, EGR Valve, Throttle position sensor, I don't know (obviously) any help would be greatly appreciated thanks, Rick

Maybe service bulletins and other owner experiences will help. Try reading out the OBD-I emissions error codes from the computer even though your check engine light hasn't been on.

22-R-E are great engines. (1985 Celica GT owner)

I'd have to say 02 sensor......Throwing off the air / fuel mixture.

ADDED:
The reason I say that, is that the computer is preset at a certain setting untill the engine reaches operating temperature.
At this point, the 02 sensor takes over the air/fuel mixture.

If it runs fine cold, and runs crappy hot...it's the 02 sensor.....

Try checking the trouble codes for the engine. It will at least tell you where to start looking.
Look here for a good bit of instructions:
