My husband and I always had the greatest costume parties. Everyone came and dressed up and we always had a blast! The year that I got pregnant, we decided to go ahead and have the party anyway because we have never allowed smoking in our house, and we thought there would be no real difference than any other time before. Well, we were wrong. 3 people besides us came. Yep, that was it! I think people maybe felt uncomfortable about me being pregnant? I don't know. Anyway, we never had one again after that! By the way, we had spent a FORTUNE on snacks & decorations!

My friend Ashley and I were around 10 when her father took us to a haunted house. We were freaked out going through the beginning but we were holding it together until we ran into an old hag that popped out at us unexpectedly. Ashley screamed, tears running down her face. I was holding onto her and screaming at the hag, 'Leave us alone! What part don't you understand?!' The hag moved towards us and Ashley backed up, tripping over a huge cable on the side of the house, taking me out in the process, the adults behind us (including Ashley's dad) were laughing at us... about ten minutes after we exited the house, we laughed about it too but at the time, it wasn't that funny.

It happened many, many years ago, when I was a kid living in Ft. Lauderdale. I was probably 10. Me and my two brothers went out trick or treating, it started pouring rain and by the time we all got home, the colored dyes from our cheapo kmart costumes had bled through to our skin. We looked like we'd painted ourselves with food coloring, and the stuff would NOT wash off! If not for the fact that the masks were those plastic things attached to our heads with rubber bands, we would have had colorful faces, too.

When I invited someone to a Halloween party, and it was only going to be my parents, her, and myself and she didn't show up! She never even called saying that she wouldn't come! And when I asked her why she said "I was sick"!

When I was a kid my mom was at work so my dad had to make dinner for us. He made liverwurst sandwiches. I hate liverwurst! I couldn't go trick or treating until I finished eating that awful sandwich!
