I'm a photographer and I was wondering where i could find some cool old or historical abadoned building in souther california or surrounding areas. Any Ideas?

California is full of abandoned Ghost Towns left over from the gold rush period check link below for a fairly comprehensive list with pictures.

The closed Long Beach Naval Shipyard and Naval Station. Lots of old buildings viewable through an open weave chain link fence. Just make sure you have some good lenses with you. The bachelor officers' quarters building is one that is from what I call the "Eisenhower Era aluminum siding art deco" school of architecture.

check the military bases like El Toro and Norton AFB that were closed down because too many rich people wanted the land to build their rich houses and were afraid the planes would fall down around them.
