I would pick the computer. I have a cellphone and phone and don't really use them. I can still communicate right on my computer. LOL Plus, I can do other things on my computer that I can't with a phone. : )

I pick the computer. More can be done with the computer than the phone. We have a land line, three cells and one pc. The land line hardly gets used, (the pc is part of it) and the cells are used for talking only or taking a picture with them. However, when talking on any phone, you might hear language that can ruin your day. On the pc you have the calm when reading and have the option of reading it all or not. The pc plays a key role in our occupation too.

The computer would be my choice. With a computer you have access to telephone service as well. I can see the day coming when computers will be worn like a wrist watch. And I believe there will be video capabilities as well so that you can see who you're talking to. I predict that telephones/cell phones will one day be a thing of the past.

Already got rid of my land line and if I could find a good provider of phone service over the Internet I would get rid of my cell phones.

that's a hard one, i would probably go with a computer. because you can join different websites (like this one) and you have the internet, which could help you with school projects, a phone can't do that, and you can have an email.
