Some people just feel more then others. I am sure we all feel bad for a handicapped child, but we do not dwell on it. But I think that some people cannot block it out.

I think you are the only person who can answer that question? Think back on your past experiences. Do you remember as a child seeing something bad happening to a little girl? It doesn't have to be a little girl in a high chair to trigger an association. Even a particularly vivid dream involving a little girl in distress, possibly elevated in some way, could be enough to lodge in your memory and cause the type of experience you are talking about. A movie that had an impact on you--any kind of powerful image could do that, and it may be one you have no conscious memory of. But chances are if you search your memory, you might come up with some likely candidates.

I could mean a lot of things from having a sad childhood and the high chair symbolizing the inability to get out of situation. It could also mean that you're upset if you want children an aren't in a place to have them. Since you don't say how old you are it could also mean that you think that you're trapped in a situation and see no way out or that your parents have you in a situation that you see no way out of. Only you can really decide how much of this really applies to you.

That's kind of an interesting question. It sounds like the child brings to mind something that was sad for you. Did you lose a young relative at some point? Does the child perhaps remind you of a child you knew who was in need of assistance such as a wheelchair? I think that only you can answer these questions, of course, but it certainly sounds like the child reminded you of SOMETHING unhappy in your experience.

Tough question. Did you have a difficult childhood? Do you have a fear of being restrained. It can mean a lot of things, from past personal trauma to sadness that she can't reach the ketchup.
