US Rep. Jo Ann Davis,57 to the bit#h cancer.She was the 1st. women elected to congress from Va. in 2000.She fought for benefits for military killed will serving our country.Her bill to increase life insurance payed to survivors of military personal was passed in the House in 2001.
We need more congress people who really support our country
and those who serve it.

I was saddened to hear she had passed from cancer. She had an eye for the
rank and file soldier which will be hard to replace.
The new VA Hospital is going to be a tough place to negoiate a soldiers benefits, especially healthcare.

they are offering only two years of healthcare after discharge from Iraq.
These are the kinds of things we are going to miss her honor, Rep. Jo Ann
Davis. May she rest in peace.

Thank you for reminding us. We all need to send a prayer and a big thanks for her devotion to duty.

I agree completely. While I am not from that area of the country and was not familiar with Ms. Davis, it is clear from your description that she stood for some very good values. It is always a sad day when our country loses people such as Rep. Davis.
