Coulter has in many ways allowed me to understand why I hold certain conservative values and proudly so. However, as for her views on education and many social issues, I disagree with her. I respect her intellectual, political opinions. However, after calling John Edwards a "fag*ot" and joking about his dead son, I lost all respect for her as a person and am no longer willing to listen to anything she has to say. She needs not be so stupid about why she hates Democrats.
Now, in relation to the first point, I am an "independent conservatarian." By that, I mean I am for the legalization of most drugs, especially marijuana. I want considerably lower taxes, the elimination of practically all social services, and strong religious and gun rights. However, I do believe in a draft only when strictly necessary and support war in Iraq. I also think abortion is wrong.
Sincere and (at least somewhat) thoughtful analyses are appreciated!

She is very smart and funny. I think she throws some outrageous things into he books to get some free air time and a few visits to news and talk shows. She is the rights version of Al Franken or Bill Maher but funnier.....

She has guts, that's for sure. She doesn't give a hoot about being politically correct, and in this day and age, it is very refreshing for someone to tell the truth without worrying about repercussions. She's not afraid to let her voice be heard.Yes,she is crude, sarcastic, and at times comes across as harsh, but that is how she gets her point across to the otherwise uninformed. Sadly, even if she would tone it down a bit, many still wouldn't see the truth of her words simply because she's a God believing conservative. What a truly messed up world we live in when people would rather believe lies over truth.

Ann Coulter successfully plays to the far right contingent. They are ones who buy her books and they are the ones who love it when she says outrageous things like you mentioned. To the rest of the political world, including Republican conservatives who don't see the need for name calling, she is an embarrassment to the Republican Party in general. Especially since the 2004 elections Republicans have received a reputation for using smear tactics to defeat their opponents. I think it would serve them well to forget those tactics for the upcoming election, as people really are tired of it in general. But Ann Coulter continues to display that mode of commentary, and like it or not, many see her as a Republican mouthpiece. Her style of commentary, along with Rush's and sometimes Bill O'Reilly's will only serve to continue to foster the impression of Republican smear politics. The more her comments, and those of the others I mentioned, are front page news, the more the Republicans risk rejection for '08. Just my opinion.

Bottom line she is a media whore who will say and do whatever her handlers tell her to do in order to attract attention. I'd bet that when the Dems take control of the White House her tune will change and she'll become a media whore for the Dems next.

Coulter has the majority of you right where she wants you. If you would stop following her every move she would disappear. For now she is laughing all the way to the bank.
Thanks to all of you who follow her every word. If I happen to see her while surfing the cable stations I just keep going.
Besides, her adams apple is most unappealing. In fact it's quite scary.
Ignore her. She reminds me of a big long turd.

She makes Rush Limbaugh look sensitive, balanced and fair. I don't think meanness is one of the attractive attributes of the conservative party, especially since according to her she is ruled by "logic".
She needs to be cut loose ASAP. Wally George in a mini-skirt.

She's a nasty, vile person. Just ask Max Cleland or the widows of 9-11. I think she's nuts.

Shes a bit extreme. By a bit I mean a lot. She wouldnt change opinions if the facts where in her face. I like Bill O'Riley. Hes honest and views the world much like I do, but I still disagree with some of his views.
You have to make up your own mind...I don't know about that legalized drugs though..

She is like a shock jock. She uses a facade to sell her hate books and can't back up her stance with any real facts. She says outlandish things to sell bad books and get booked on Fox news,
You forgot how she attacked the 9/11 widows and said they were glad their husbands died.
