Yesterday I was watching a film about the life of Isaac newton and his contributions to science. Something that caught my attention was, newton had a best friend, they did stuff together and that guy left britain and newton really missed that guy. and everybody say he was gay.

No he was not gay. This is a misinterpretation of how men related to each other in his times as compared to present times. when learning about historical people it helps if you also learn the cultural practives of the time. Do not apply you current cultural values to times of the past.

Da Vinci was gay but I highly doubt that Isaac Newton was gay. There's no evidence to suggest it.

From what I can gather, Newton was so absorbed in his work he bordered on the autistic (aspergers syndrome?). So I think any relationship straight or gay was probably unlikley.

You watched a film about the life of Newton and all you picked up on was that he may have been gay? Does it matter? Er, any idea what else he did?
