I went to Red Lobster last night and my friend paid me the $250 he owed me in a white envolope. I accidently left the money one the table. I called today and no one claimed it. They refused the waiters name and refused to review the security tapes. Do i have any rights or any suggestions on what to do?

Call and talk to the manager and then his boss. Explain that you will be reporting this to the police and will sue the store management for their refusal to aid you in recovering lost property. Also, that if you get the money back, you will let this dropped.
It worked with us when my daughter left her purse in a Ben and Jerry's. We got to look at the tape and you saw the girl working walk over to the booth, and then take it to the back room. We had called while the girl was still working and she denied finding it.
The owner paid my daughter for her loss and he fired the girl.

YES!!! Mayweather is terrified, as he should be!!! Manny Pacquiao is faster than Mayweather, which scares the crap out of Mayweather since he has NEVER fought a man faster than himself! Also, Floyd has NO punching power! Which worries him too, because if a BIG punching heavy hitter like Miguel Cotto can't hurt Manny Pacquiao what chance does Maywheather's weak punches have. On the flip side,... Manny Pacquiao has heavy hands,...and can knock a man out with either hand, that is another HUGE problem for Mayweather. Yet,...Another HUGE problem for Mayweather is Manny's insanely fast work-rate. Manny throws nearly 100 punches per round, and over 1,000 punches in a fight. Mayweather is a dodger, and a counter-puncher. You may dodge on punch, two puches, even three, or more, but there is NO WAY he's dodging 1,000!!! And, Manny can knock him out with ONE!!! And, since he's a counter puncher he needs to punch after a punch is thrown at him, this kind of fighting strategy will NOT work well when your opponent doesn't stop punching you!!! Mayweather IS terrified, plain and simple!!! And, if he did fight, he'd get punished!!!

If it was in cash, you are pretty much out of luck. There is no way for you to prove that you had $250 in cash when you entered the restaurant, that you left the envelope at the table, or that your server took the money. Even if they did have an envelope full of money, there is no way to prove that it is yours. The restaurant has no legal obligation to provide you with a server's name which would violate the server's privacy rights. They also have no legal obligation to review their security tapes. I would suggest that you have your friends pay you back with checks in the future for anything this substantial.

Well if you really care about the money at least show them your level of interest by bothering to show up. Find out who the manger was on that shift, and go when s/he is there again.
But probably a good lesson to not deal in cash is about to be learned :(

They have NO duty to aid you. To get a court order to view the tapes you'll have to show a reason for the court to order it. Simply saying I left cash their isn't going to fly. Know how many people try that one each day? Sorry but this was YOUR fault, not theirs, but your trying to make it theirs in typical fashion today.

Don't eat at Dead Lobster - the only thing I've eaten there that wasn't greasy was the salad.
