I don't know, everytime I listen to Van Morrison, I just get really happy. I can never be in a bad mood while listening to Van the man.

I know what you mean, Van has this effect on me too.
I wouldn't say i feel happy, but i feel very light-hearted.
Like for those few minutes everything is rainbows, marshmallows and puppy dogs...

If and when I listen to Van Morrison's solo work, I do not feel really happy. When I listen to 'Them' - I enjoy the music more.

Well I was brought up on that stuff so it makes me think of lots of things and yes I would say it makes me happy!
Not the obvious stuff like Moondance and Gloria but some of the more out of the way stuff like INarticulate Speech Of The Heart...love that record!

I know exactly what you mean, I get that way, especially when I'm listening to Astral Weeks, with the volume way up. Definitely one of my favourite albums of all time.

he does have some amazing songs, and I have alot of them. I dont see where I'm more of one emotion than any other when I listen to him, tho!

Yes, particularly "His Band & Street Choir", and "Enlightenment"-which, in my opinion" is his best later album.
However, his music makes me wistful at the same time that it makes me happy.

Totally, especially when i listen to "Gloria", it just makes me go crazy!!
