I'm not for sure if Springfield is exactly the halfway point, but it is the major city between these two areas. I looked it up on a map and you will be going on 44 through Missouri and there are plenty of cities along here. Here are several you will drive through
Springfield
Joplin
Cuba
Sullivan
Hope this helps!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Springfield, MO is kinda halfway, but not "exactly," and major is a relative term, I guess. The city I live in has 7 million people.

Seeking a good place to spend the night on your trip?

Recommend Joplin, Mo. That way you will miss the early morning traffic in say Tulsa.

And will find numerous motels close to the I-44.

Tulsa, OK? Actually it seems closer to Lawton, OK than St. Louis.

Springfield is pretty close and it actually a nice town to visit. Why do you only want to go to the halfway point?
