Problem with Daewoo Matiz fuel pump and battery?

I have an X reg Daewoo Matiz. When the ignition is switched off the fuel pump carrys on making a noise and as a result drains the whole battery. Can anyone please tell me what is wrong and how I could fix it.

Sounds like a fuel pump timer/relay problem.
$15 (USD) for a new one.
