porsche service costs!?

Question

i'm thinking of buying a porsche boxter model 1997,187000 km,how much would the service cost be?and in case anyone owns a porsche could you please tell me how often a service should take place after,in my case, having thespassed the 187000 km?

If you are worried about the cost and can only afford a car with 187000 km - I suggest something a little less grand.

It really depends where and how good the service is to determine cost, but it can get pretty expensive if the mechanic doesnt have any stock of what new part you need for your porsche. Since all the parts are made in germany (thank god) they would have to unfortunatley ship them over to the garage.

P.S. If you've never had a Porsche before, you're gonna have fun!!

I would stay away from a 120 thousand mile boxster. Porsche parts are very expensive, and chances are if youre looking at a 187000km boxster, you cant afford big repair bills.

The rule with porsches is the least expensive porsche will always end up being the most expensive one.

I had a 68 911 t this cost close to $ 1000.00 per tune up and add another $500.00 miss. parts and it should run somewhere in this area.
Go for the Subaru WRX it's way faster then the boxter and less money to maintain, plus you don't know how well the past owner treated this car !
The milage that's on this is up where you want to be very hard on your going over the shop evaluation check up.
If you don't pay for a complete computer and mechanical work up on this you can end up with a lemmon.
A 1997 is 10yrs old and time for major work to be preformed, the hourly charge from my mech. was $60.00hr and these prices are over 15yrs old.
Think about all the money you can save if you shop for a newer Boxter, go to the dealer & ask them to run the check up, you'll get the news about the car and what it's going to take to own one.

take my advice don't buy that old modle u r gona have problems after problem after problem especially with that high mileage.
i recommend you buy a LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO replica.
