I looked it up and I got a lot of video game results. I want to know what a homunculus is, even if it is in mythology. Please give as much info as possible. Thank you.

Paracelsus, the alchemist, gave a formula for creating a Homunculus, or "artificial man." Basically, you splooge into a clear vial, place it in a dung heap for 40 weeks, at which time a nearly invisible living being will appear. At this point, you will have to begin feeding it human blood. The Homunculus will be like a normal human except for its miniature stature and reduced ability to learn.

There are actually several accounts of what a homunculus (literally, a little man) is.

In early biology, it was believed that either the sperm or the egg held a tiny, already formed baby. This is, of course, total bunk.

The mythological homunculus is a general term for any ridiculously tiny human or humanoid. I usually imagine them to be golems about the size of a human finger. Other accounts include:
-An alchemical creation
-A creature formed by throwing pregnant animals into a cauldron
-or, like I said, a tiny golem

The most recent use of the term "homunculus" is actually a term used for diagraming sensory regions. By expanding regions of the body proportionate to their sensitivity to touch, a scientific homunculus gives you a sense of regional nerve sensitivity for an animal. For example, a rat homunculus has tiny ears and feet, but huge nobs where the whiskers show up. A human homunculus, on the other hand, has very large hands, feet, lips, and a big tongue.

Are Homunculus Real

There two definitions...

One is that a homunculus is a little man that would grow inside some one and become a human (what they though was sperm lol)

And the other is a fake/created/artificial human that is born/created with out a soul. Or generally any human that doesn't or never had a soul.

All things considered.... I would bet it's talking about the later because I don't think the game has little living people-sperm in it.

A homunculus is a miniature, fully formed individual believed by adherents of the early biological theory of preformation to be present in the sperm cell.

Though the above theory was discredited in the 19th century there are still anti-abortion people who accept it as a reality.

I once shut one up by stating that if that is true than by his movements own protocols all sperm must be deposited in women and all women must cooperate at the age of fertility.

His friends hauled him off while he screamed I was Satan on Earth.

a homunculus is a mythical " little person" with magical powers created by taking putrified sperm and mixing it with virgins blood under certain astrological conditions. The myth said that by creating this " little person" you could force the spirit of an andgel or demon into the body and force it to serve you.

I once read "Dragon Rider" by Cornelia Funke, and it says that a homunculus is a tiny man created by magical means.

A homunclus is a entitiy that takes a semblance of physical form, but is not human. Generaly they are not as intellegent as a person, but are capable of performing simple tasks. For example George Bush is a perfect example of what a homunclus is.

An artificially made man-like figure made from mud and stuff, animated but without a soul. Used for revenge, and considered constructed using evil.
