well its kind of embarrasing if u make mistakes, but hey you learn from your mistakes so it makes you be more aware of what it is you are doing wrong, or at least it does to me. but you shouldn't worry becasue no one is perfect and there is always someone else that has done the same mistake as you

Why not?
Sometimes typos and gramatical errors can be very funny even if they are not intended to be.
As for waisting time pointing things out; what good is time if not to waste it occasionally?
Yahoo would prefer that we don't point these things out, at least not to make an isue out of them, but; jokes are fine so long as the answerer does answer the question as well as tell a funny.
And as for the wrong category, that sometimes happens but people are usually gracious about the confusion. When they are not it really should not count as an answer to waist time to tell people to go elsewhere. I believe it is considered pointing in the same way typing "Google it" is a violation. But if they anser the questioneven after being a bit dogmatic in their appreciation for the order of things then, so be it.
These are just words on a page and they can be as easily ignored as paid attention to.
I am fine with being corrected though I don't ask questions on Y!Answer.

I dont normally make spelling mistakes but i dont have a problem being corrected if I do. However I cant understand how people get their question in the wrong category, I mean FFS it gives you the option to change, are people just too lazy to bother.

Yes and no. If it were a continuous process where even if my spelling were expert, my composition stellar, and my grammar at graduate college level, if I get it all 99% correct but, have a run on sentence (like this one) then I could do without the constructive criticism. However, if in every sentence I use a word (like "however") and it gets annoying, I would really hope those that are my friends would set me straight, maybe not where the whole world could see it, but hey! Sometimes it's needed.

I wouldn't want to have people tell me I misspelled something, cause I usually read my questions like ten times after posting them so If I do have a mistake I would probably know about it,
if i slot my question in a wrong category
I would want people to tell me
Not!

No one the grammar and spelling unless it is totally unreadable.
I have had many, many violation notices because I tell someone that if they post in the correct forum they may get better answers to their questions, so I do not think they want to hear that either.

Yes, yes, yes. But you won't get the chance, lol!
Spelling, grammar and punctuation aid comprehension.
'Wrong category' is plain annoying - a computer question in 'Family & Relationships' say - particularly if the title is uninformative. In that case I give them a stupid answer for wasting my time.

I think lots of folks are WAAAAAAY too uptight about spelling and grammatical errors.
I have told someone to post their question in another section, but I wasn't being snotty. It was a section where I had gotten great help and thought they might benefit, too.
Those nit-pickers needs to get laid, have a snack, or take a nap so they quit acting so damn uptight!!

I think it's rude to bring up the mistake!!! If I see a problem with a question I either ignore the question all together or I do my best to understand it and answer it!

A spelling mistake--no. It's not like I'm at a spelling bee.
Wrong category--yes, because most likely it'll be an accident, and I'd feel kind of random.
