-How do I engage the conversation?
-What are the questions I should ask him?
- What should I wear?

I prefer am a person with experience in human behavior science or Sociology to answer this. No offence!

1.) To talk about yourself is sooo boring (sooo 2007)...I am more down2earth...and like a little mystery. I much rather him see my personality, through time. I prefer the old fashion way.
I've met several guys offline that I couldn't trust. So that has nothing to do with it.

Wear something cute and comfotable, talk about yourself or sports, or media.Ask him stuff about himself but not too personal! Be careful though cause you met him online! he minght be sm1 u cant trust . have a good time

First and foremost you have to listen to what he says and find something to talk about..even if it is something you don't care for..he might like cars or sports. You could say something like "Oh! Good you can explain to me why they kick on the 4th down instead of going for it" It doesn't matter if you think it makes you look dumb you need conversation. Think about what he has said on-line..make a cheat sheet if you need to and start there. 'you said you went to California, how was it" Take mental notes when you find the next thing to say.But if you just listen to what he says you can pick up on something..and of course if worse comes to worse there's always "tell me your life story" "tell me about your family" its really not hard just pay attention

In my humble opinion,
if you have to ask those questions then I dont feel that you have known each other online long enough. You are bypassing one of the great advantages of online dating.
