You are running to lean, increase jet size to get more fuel into the mixture.

I had the same problem with a CR250
The screws holding the alternator assy. loosened.
That advanced the timing and kept burning holes in the top of piston.
Before removing the flywheel, make sure the flywheel nut is on tight - if it's loose, the flywheel's position may have changed, which would change the timing.
Then check the condition of the woodrift key - if the engine ever misfired, the shock could shear the key, throwing the timing off.
Check the condition of the slots for the key, on the crank and flywheel.
Are you using the correct heat range spark plug?
Only use what Honda recommends.
Have you made any engine modifications?
Milled head, aftermarket air cleaner & exhaust pipe, reeds, crankshaft rebuild using a different connecting rod other than OEM, non OEM piston (weisco) - any of these may cause problems.
Read the spark plug to see if the carb is jetted properly.

I agree with everything suggested so far but there is another possibility; an air leak in the intake. If you got a rubber carb mount or any rubber section between the carb and the cylinder, it might be cracked and leaking. Even if there is not a rubber section, there can be a leak at any joint with a gasket. Either way, you need to check it out.
To do the job quick and easy, just use a spray can of WD-40. With the engine running, spray the WD-40 at the intake tract and if the engine speed increases, you've got an air leak. You can narrow down where the leak is by observing where you're spraying when the engine revs increase.
If it turns out to be an air leak and you've found it, you'll need to decide if you will repair the old part or install a new one.
These are the kinds of problems that can drive you bonkers so hang in there. And good luck!
