I have a Blue Guarami, he is about 3 inches, and I am looking for a tank mate for him. I was thinking another Guarami, but I want a different color, anyone know if the Flame Dwarf Guarami's are peaceful?

He already hangs with two Cory's and I think there is a language barrier or something because he avoids them.

Depending on the size of your tank, you probably shouldn't test out another Gourami. Gouramis are peaceful to most fish, but generally are quite aggressive towards fish similar to them (like other Gouramis). Unless you have a 30+ gallon tank, I wouldn't even consider it an option as there will be a lot of territorial disputes. Consider finding your Gourami a female, that would be much more natural than introducing a new color of Gourami. Email me if you have any questions.

what size is your tank. Dwarf gouramies are smaller but not as small as most people think, certainly 10 gallon min, but the blue gouarmi will reach about 5-6 inches.

So make sure you have enough room.

DG arent as aggressive as blues, but they can be quarlisome in a smaller tank with another male DG.

So make sure you have enough room.

gourami's are semi aggressive fish and should not be kept together. Gourami are in the same family as bettas. Like bettas, gourami do very well in a community tank but combined with any other fish of the same family they will fight! It is best to keep with non-aggressive community fish.
