My top picks are:
1. Fred Thompson. I like the fact that while he adheres to true conservatism, he also understood as a Senator that it meant voting independently on social and economic issues on which he does not agree with the rest of his delegation. I'd like to know his clear position on abortion, however. I basically consider myself libertarian, but I don't support abortion at all!
2. Mike Huckabee: does not support abortion, does not believe in raising taxes and implementing business-unfriendly strategies, and (while not a great reason) a nice guy.
3. Ron Paul: I don't agree with his stance on the war. I believe even though the U.S. isn't exactly managing the war in Iraq well, we have a job that we must finish or it will be detrimental to the security of our nation. I do like his non-hypocritical track record of supporting tight border security not gov't raising spending except when necessary.

I don't like Giuliani and Romney. They're dishonest and "flip-flopping."

Fred Thompson!!! And, you have already stated some of my reasons.
He is the only Honest Person running for the Office of President.
Ask him a question, and he, unlike the Others, especially the Democrats, will answer the question with his true beliefs. He is the Best of the Best, and I sincerely hope that he can withstand the onslaught of George Soros' Billions, and his bought and paid for Democrat Party.
He will also have to weather the Lies and Prefabricated Attacks, soon to be aimed at him by the Liberal Controlled Media.

Those of us who work and pay for insurance are stuck as it dictates whether you can leave an employer or not…or where you might choose to work in the first place. Simply because you can’t take it with you. I had health insurance through an employer for five years and contributed to the premium. When I left the small company, I was referred by the same insurance company with the same provider's name on the card, only I was paying the whole premium. Anything that was treated under the employer's policy was now considered a pre-existing condition and no longer covered, though a premium had never been skipped. These were temporary ailments. It’s been four years with no problems and testing to prove it and the insurance company will not remove the riders. My only choice they said is to get a job with someone who has group insuand not the people of this country. You can count this question to be worth 10,000 +others. That's a given prediction. This wonderful country that we all love so dearly has been built on the backs of the less fortunate of its citizens, legal and illegal. Additionally, do you have any idea how much money it takes to bring a person over to the U.S.A. legally. The American people don't have a clue what it costs ... I know, we spent a fortune bringing my son's family (6 people) over from Mexico. The American people need to know and understand that there are charges, fees, etc etc for absolutely everything done by immigration except for the name change. People are of the belief that "illegal" aliens are taking a huge chunk of the "welfare" budget.

I'm from Tennessee, and have lived here all my life, (so far). I voted for Fred Thompson for Senate, and will for President. As I said, I live in Tennessee, and heard all the dirt as it was happening, and see nothing to disqualify Mr. Thompson from being President. No body is perfect, and Fred even admits he's not.
Why vote for him? Based on past history, when he tells you something, he is being straightforward. He believes what he says, and pretty much, what you see is what you get. You will notice too, that he doesn't take all day to answer questions. He will tell you how he thinks on a particular subject, and you can pretty much count on him to act that way on the subject in question.
By the way, I do not consider being from Tennessee a qualification for President. I did not (and would not) vote for Al Gore for ANY office, unless the only other choice was Hillary Clinton.

John McCain

I offer you to please read on about another choice. For me he is honest. Co-authored the Campaign Finance Reform Bill which makes him not so popular will ole boy networks. He is not popular about the Iraq War yet he stands firm. He has the service background to keep our soil safe and military in check. He knows the floor as a Senior Senator from Arizona, he has experience. He is the only one I can read about that is not afraid to rock to political boat. Darn it! It is about time. The immigration stance was one of compromise minus the added pork , the extra's politicians add toward their own agenda's. He is what he says. And he says it better than I. So, please explore. I have, each and every one of them. Thompson just lost his spark plug in my book. Sorry. Huckabee actually is a decent guy. Ron Paul is too out there for my tastes. Even John Edwards would be progressive in some respects. Just not another Clinton or the in experienced equal Obama. Thanks.**Dear Mr. President it is YOU ARE, or you're ignorant. Your rants border on obscene considering the position. Like a Hitler youth. You can never jam an election down anyones throat or call another's opinions out like that. Kansas? No disrespect but, lighten up or you send them running to the other side.

C'mon people! You need to come over to the right side, which is the LEFT. None of the Republican candidates has the right stuff, and will be left in the dust by the liberals.
