ok I just bought an item off ebay and i didnt realize this person only accepted money orders the item is for 56$ and i dont feel comfortable sending such a large sum through the mail plus this person only has 22 positive feedbacks is there any way i can protect this transaction like they do with paypal so i can make sure i dont get ripped off

I assume you mean $565 looks like you hit a cap key.

With a seller with only 22 positives I would not do this. I only buy and sell using Paypal and have only had one problem which they resolved by refunding my money. A money order is much like cash, once you send it you have pretty much no recourse. Unless you got one heck of a bargin and if you did it is probably a rip off lol I would contact the seller and tell them that you don't feel comfortable using a money order but you will pay the Paypal buyer fees if they use it. If they object just opt out of the auction, there are ways to do that and if he posts negative use the dispute area to tell why you didn't finish the deal.

Once you send a money order, it's gone. If you don't like this, your only choice is to cancel or not go through with the purchase.

Nope there is no guarentees with money orders.
