theres a few ways to get to it but the easiest way to do it is press the window and pause buttons on the keyboard at the same time

Windows System
Click START
Click RUN
In the white window type in ' dxdiag ' (without the quotes )
Click OK
A program will run and wait until the blue bar in the lower left completes.
The TABs across the top will give you all the info you need for your system.
NOTE: With Vista you might have to give permission for this to run.

it is really easy, just right click on your "My Computer" and the click "Properties". a window will pop up, when this window comes up, it will show you your computer stats. it will say "512 MB of Ram" or something like that.
