My view of it, it was all legal and he had every right to the ball. It funny to think how different of a reaction he would get if they played at LA...what are your thoughts?

i support the kid for those that didnt understand what i meant earlier....once it goes into the crowd i agree that the fans have the right to the ball

Yep,I agree with you totally. It was awesome for the Sox and, if it had happened in LA, he would probably be dead by now..lol..It was very cool to watch and to see my favorite author being a regular fan and slapping the kid on the back was great too!

The ball came down off the field of play. What he did was fine and perfectly within baseball's rules. Even the catcher acknowledged so. An interesting play, and good for the Red Sox, but not at all controversial.

It would definitely be different in LA. as far as reaction.

Read the story at Yahoo sports and see what kid caught it.

The ball was in the stands so doesn't it belong to the fan at that point?
