Labour promised Britain a referendum on Europe. Now it looks as though they're reneging. Is this a sign that Gordon Brown is not a man of his word?

Does it make you any less likely to vote for him in the event of a general election?

Gordon Brown did not promise a general election and as far as the european issue is concerned we are lock together, whether we like it or not! Cameron will be the same! As far voting for labour is concerned they will have my vote as always. nothing will change.

yes it makes me want to vote (shudder) conservative.

The thing is that all the politicians over the last decade have been in love with Europe for a very long time, but i cant see any good reason for this, what do they know that we don't?

I don't think we need Europe as much as it needs us, at least they need our money. Gordon keeps giving them a huge chunk of our hard earned cash every year, and as chancellor he was in charge of signing the cheques and he knows how much we have given them, couple that with the fact that he wont give us a referendum and ask yourself why that is??

I think that they all have something to hide but he has lots to hide!

For gods sake don't vote lib-dem because they want to put the taxes up too!!

Since he was a 'friend & colleague' of his predessor - an evil little s*d, and he is apparently a 'friend' of Margaret Hilda and invited her to Dine at No 10, he is himself now highly suspect.

Personally no, I would NEVER have voted for him because, He and his predessor presided over the abandonment of every Socialist principle the Labour Party once stood for.

He is a politician and thus not a man of his word. He is an appalling individual who is running a country without the backing of a single one of us - and now he won't have an election because he knows labour will lose. He is total scum.

Am too tired to vote anyway. Brown knows because there are too many issues happening at once at home and abroad.
But surely Cameron knew this!?

I would not trust them at all, they are supposed to be elected by the public, but that is a laugh. Its all the old boys network, they should go through an public election, not just handed the role, just goes to show you how corrupt it all is

I wasn't voting for Gordie anyway...so his lack of referendum on Europe couldn't make him any less attractive to vote for ....He is so far down my "who to vote for list "anyway
