especially guys that are like bookworms

almost every guy likes video game... even the popular jocks, everyone... even girls....
but bookworms like videogame because they like the fantasy world. something so amazing with powers and they like to be the hero that saves the princess... they know that in real life thats almost next to impossible, so they live in a fantasy world that they control sorta...
but nowadays, games are very complex, they have story lines as complex or more then movies...

I'm not a bookworm, hey I don't even like to read, but I like playing games like Pokemon Pearl and becoming very good at them. I only play cool and fun games with great graffics. I'm a technical guy so I also like making movies on my computer using Windows Movie Maker. I'm busy making one called "Herofighters"... sounds cool hah? ;)

Excuse me while i laugh at El Nino's response hahaha.
Anyhow the reason is, guys love stimulation such as, action movies, adventure, guns, violence, blowing things up etc. Its also a test of their hand-eye coordination. All of this is taken into account when playing videogames. One of the most played video game series ever, "Grand Theft Auto" is a prime example of this.

my ex boyfriend wasn't a "bookworm" but was a bit on the 'dorky' side and was ALL about Everquest. drove me bonkers, but I learned to deal with it.
I think it has something to do with escaping the real world for a while.
Tho most guys are all about viedo games. Depends on the guy and the game. My fiance plays Madden on PS2 any chance he gets, and thanks to my ex, I have learned to deal with it and actually encourage him to play (i bought him the system and all his games)

I'm a chick and I play video games religiously... beats real life... I love books too... but fighting games and shooting games are the best.

guys r interested in technolagy and girls arent. so games take things to the next level like for example war games. some boys/guys dont want to go to war and you know so they play the secondary type games. and racing games with cops. wat guy would go out and speed and have fun and get arrested. so that explains some of it. and girls play the type of games guys do. for instence majority of girls play halo1, 2, and the best out of em all halo3.
