Nope. But I have seen it done. Mainly when people demanded their food boxed up for them. And were rude about it. I was always happy to box it at the table, but some customers would just throw the plate you and tell you to box it. Usually it got spit in, and returned.
I was a good waitress. And I had more patience than most of my coworkers.

i've got worked in food provider for various years in lots of eating places and have fairly never spit in every physique's food or have witnessed every physique else do this. If a shopper is rude, they ok could get something accomplished to their food. even nonetheless this is greater probably to be something like- short them on their serving, placed way too a lot mustard on their sandwich, and, fairly, dropping food on the floor and serving it. yet i haven't witnessed something regarding actual fluids.

My first job out of high school was at Burger King.
I remember one night this jerk was heckling me at the drive-thru window and i was try to ignore him and as I was walking away he reached through the window and was pulling my arm. Well, my boss saw and got the guy to stop but he told him this: You're not very bright are you? Bothering people who handle your food.
Anywhoo I never spit, coughed or sneezed on anyone's anything, because I wouldn't want someone to do that to me.
If a customer was being rude and I didn't want to deal with them, I walked away and let someone else take care of them.

That is soooo nasty omg... I'm always nice to who fixes my food so they won't have a reason to spit in it

no because where I work the sandwich is assembled right in front of you and you have to tell me what you want on it, so it wouldn't be possible. But even if it were possible, I wouldn't do it, I'm a little more mature than that.
