At our house we have candlelight night. We turn off all the lights, light candles, eat snackies and watch a movie, We pull the drapes on any windows that face the road. It is a lot of fun.

Carving pumpkins is still celebrating. So is handing out candy.
If you want to actually not celebrate it, go out to a movie or something or keep the porch light off and give no indication anyone is home. I'm sure if you are absent, no one will remark on it. They'll assume you are off doing something else, which is true.

Do you have any idea of why you think you shouldn't celebrate Halloween? Just because you are a Christian isn't much of a reason. The fact that you are willing to carve pumpkins tells that you don't really know what Halloween is. Please do some research before you make a decision saying that you are anti-Halloween.

I fairly do no longer think of i've got been in there on Halloween. I also have a feeling it would be simply by fact there'd be questions in there approximately Halloween, then, and the Christians could respond in turn.

It's got nothing to do with religion, Christianity or anything else. It was based on a pagan celebration, but Halloween, as it is celebrated in America today, is about as far removed from its pagan roots as it could get! If you're carving pumpkins & handing out candy, I hate to tell you, but you are participating in Halloween! Because that's all it is anymore . . .

Why open the door to treaters if your not celebrating the holiday? Even if your trick them...your participating so I say keep the porch lights off and leave the celebrators alone.

The local Methodist church here in our town, has a costume party and they dress as Biblical characters, ( I hear Moses is very popular, robe, staff, sandals and stone commandments)They play games and eat goodies.... I take my kids trick or treating,...you and your friend can dress up like the angel and the devil that sits on someones shoulders and argue good vs evil!!!!!!

Sit in your house with the lights off - thats what we do. Or go out for a meal to avoid it all completely. x
