No. Go away. If you want the Cubs to REALLY get better, stop supporting them when they suck, and maybe the message will sink in.

What Baseball should do is make the opening round of the playoffs best of 7. Putting 12 teams out there would be no good. Like in Basketball and Hockey those seasons seem to go on forever. Then the playoffs start and those go on for what maybe 2 and a half months, its too long. I am happy with the one wild card. Maybe Baseball should reconfigure the divisons? Small market teams together and large market teams together. Or have a salary cap.

No, no, no!
I think that only the final series in any sport should go best of seven.
4 teams in each league is plenty. I would go best of 3, best of 5, and best of 7. And wild card teams would not be allowed to host a home game in the first round to give more of a benefit to the team with the best record in the league and some penalty for only getting in as the wild card.
Go Cubs! But, NO.

You can't have two teams just sitting around for a week not playing games. In football it's okay because you only play a game a week anyway and the time off helps injured players get healthy. In baseball you play almost every day for 6 months and anything over one off day a week is enough to throw a baseball team out of their rhythm. So no, 8 playoff teams is enough.

So you only want this in order to help your team out...In answer to your question, No I don't think we should. If you don't like the MLB go watch football. Maybe you should complain to your Cubs and ask why they can't beat a team full of children. (no offense to the d-backs, good team this year.)

No I don't like that idea. It wouldn't be advantageous to have a first round bye because your pitching staff would be off of their normal rotation. Besides, one wildcard in each league is plenty.

It will never happen. Baseball is too full of old tradition. Why they didn't let 12 in before is because there were fewer teams.
