Yeah me too.
Then my daughter did it after me.- (same books)
Now her children have started!

We dont lose those years - we just pass them down the generations.

I have a 9 year old and she loved the Magic Faraway Tree and I have read her quite a few of the Famous 5 books. I think Enid Blyton books will be enjoyed for many years yet.And I'm not knocking JK Rowling either.

Oh the innocence of the Famous Five. I too used to read Enid Blyton. I think I must have read just about everything from Noddy, then the Wishing Chair and The Enchanted Wood through all the Mallory Towers and St. Clares type stuff then on to the Adventures of, Secret Seven and Famous Five. I couldn't get enough of it. However, I have just read the entire series of the Wishing Chair to my daughter and the inconsistencies and repetitiveness has driven me wild - but of course the books were never aimed towards to adults and if they encourage children to read who am I (who couldn't write a book to save my life) to criticise.

Me too! Even my mum read them when she was a child about 50 years ago. They really are ageless books that appeal to all generations.

I still read kids books. Just because we get older doesn't necessarily mean we have to grow up.

Innocence is bliss don't you think.
Amazing how many people do the same thing.
