Well, a miscarriage is an abortion (really, the technical term is "spontaneous abortion".

An ectopic pregnancy is not a miscarriage, but there's no way to carry the baby to term and attempting to do so is likely to kill you, so try not to beat yourself up over defining the term.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss! As for the ectopic, It's usually seen as a miscarriage, because there's no way it could have lived and it was removed to save your life. It really depends on the method of removal they used though as to if it's technically an abortion vs miscarriage(the technicality is in was the embryo pierced/vaccumed out or was a piece of the fallopian tube cut on either side and taken out that just happened to have it attached), but I'd say it counts as a miscarriage. It's not like you wanted your baby to die and sought out to murder it. You went seeking medical help probably for the pain or found it during your ultrasound and it had to be taken care of to save your health. You have no guilt here! Good luck and I wish you peace!

It's not classed as a miscarriage. It is an ectopic pregnancy.

It's neither. It's an ectoptic pregnancy. There's no reason it needs to be characterized as anything else.

a nesscessary termination because the..probability of carrying a etopic pregnancey all the way to full term is slim to none...and if the pregnancey isn't terminated the mother and baby will die.....
