Why are they selling so many paramilitary clothing in retail stores now?

I went to a few stores today, and noticed quite a bit of army looking pants and shirts ....you know with the camouflage look. And it looks like desert camouflage too.

It's halloween season and alot of kids for generations dress in military garb ,,,don't read too much into it.
