Just me - I am so sorry for your losses. I cannot even think about losing either of my parents at this point in my life. I lost my brother almost two years ago and it has been hell.
I think the most recent bitter sweet moment for me has been my divorce. I was getting ready to graduate college (at 41 yrs old, thank you very much), which was a lifetime dream and a week before my graduation my husband came home and said he didn't want to be married any more......after 5 years of marriage. My graduation day was definitely bitter sweet.
Thanks for the great question and letting me get that out. :o)

Every year, my family has a reunion on the weekend of my great-grandma's birthday. She passed away in 2006, so the reunion after she died was very poignant, especially for my grandma.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that... For me it had to be my nephew's 6th birthday. He had cancer and wasn't doing good, we knew it would be his last birthday, but at the same time it was great that he made it to that one after everything he had already been through.
Other than that I'd have to say my marriage. He's the bitter, but without him I wouldn't have my 2 babies.

Before I read you second and third line, I had the answer in my mind and can you believe it, my beloved dad passed away in the same hospital a floor above in room 512 and in room 412 five minutes apart my nephew (brother son) was born and yes we named him after my father, Jeffery.

Pretty much my whole life in general. I have a ton of life experiences which I'm not interested in reliving, including the good times. Once is enough, thank you.

As a child back in the 80s, spending time with my grandmother before she was sick. We had a weekly shopping ritual where we would always have lunch.

This is an amazing coincidence because my grandbaby was born on the first anniversary of my mother's death too.
It's her birthday on Monday!
Certainly was bitter-sweet for me.

Any girl I've ever dated -- sweet at first, but eventually bitter.
