Upholding the constitution is our duty as Americans, it is more that just acting patriotic.

Wearing a flag pin is an outward sign showing your allegiance to America, but upholding the Constitution puts your allegiance into action. It shows you walk the talk.

So, to answer your question, both are patriotic, but wearing a flag pin is patriotic on a smaller scale than performing actions that uphold the Constitution. Hope this makes sense.

Of course its more patriotic to uphold the constitution. Of course you have to worry about how someone that doesn't want to wear a simple flag pin might interpret the constitution and how it is upheld.

Republicans love to talk about patriotism, wrap themselves in the flag and then totally ignore the Constitution. They do the same with "family values" . Look at Craig and Foley, not to mention Giuliani, McCain, Gingrich etc. All talked about family values and proved to be hypocrites.
