I don't believe in curses, even all those years for the Sox. But the Yankees have some bad MO JO going on this century and there is A-Rod. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
I heard that A-rod's name is April May-ROD!

You guys keep forgetting it was the Captain, himself, that stood up to the media and boldly declared that the playoffs was going to be a A-Rod problem, it was going to be a team problem.
Thus far, the entire team has been tanking it, especially "WE"ter, just like he said they would!
There's no curse, just a kept promise.

Is there a question hidden in there somewhere?
Agreed that ARod has not shown his worth in the past few post seasons but I would also argue that the Yankees are NOT EVEN playing in the post season this season without ARod.

I agree with you on that but I don't think there's a curse, it's just he can't handle the extra pressure in the playoffs.

Curses are not interesting unless they are decades old, with the genesis buried deep beyond living memory. Gives it that ancient, evocative air of gravitas with no first-hand sources to refute the mythology.

They haven't won one since 01 (aka before A-Rod joined the Yanks) so it wouldn't make any sense saying A-Rod is the cause b/c their WS winless streak started BEFORE A-Rod joined the Yankees.

You really might be onto something there although there is another prominent player now coach who seems to jinx them as well, I won't mention his name though, it would be too painful for the Yankee faithful to see this

I would say I agree, but I do not believe in curses. Things happen because they do, not because of a goat, a fan, or a fat freaking douchebag. The fat douchebag being Ruth, I assume you knew that but I figured I would make sure.

I agree with the OP.
Rodriguez brings his one man show approach to whatever team he plays for (not unlike Bonds) and ultimately makes his team worse for it. I think he'll retire without a ring (just like Bonds)
