I think you mean the "de Broglie hypothesis." In simple terms, the hypothesis states that all particles of matter exhibit, in addition to their classical particle properties, wavelike aspects. And that wavelength, frequency, momentum, and kinetic energy are all directly related.

The Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Broglie_hypothesis) explains the hypothesis very well, including the pertinent formulae. But if you can't use it, then how about his original paper, translated into English?

De broglie suggested that each and every thing in motion, be it waves or any form of matter, can behave as particle as well a wave ( dual nature ).
The mass of the particle and it's energy are interconvertible by Einstien's E=mc^2 eqn.
He said that if a moving body has a momentum 'p', the wavelength associated with it is given by
L = h / p
where h is the planck's constt.
