I'm just curious, why didn't anyone get the yanks pitcher some of those safety glasses you see in workshops? If they could find bugspray you figure they could get him something to protect his eyeballs. If I were a baseball equipment guy, I'm going out today and purchase a dozen goggles or safety glasses or whatever would work in that situation.

**Laughs*** Didn't realize the yank fans were whining about the loss. You know, if it happened in Yankee stadium with a Yanks victory, they'd be talking about how it was "destiny" and whatnot.

The Yankees are looking for any excuse, I'm sure the bugs wouldn't ever land on a Cleveland player.

Yankees fans have to stop complaining about the bugs. It's not like Fausto Carmona and Rafael Perez didn't have to deal with them.

The bug spray actually attracted the bugs, so the spray was pointless. As for the glasses, the glasses might irritate the pitcher even more.

Not a bad idea.

The Yankees need to stop whining about the bugs. It's not like the Indians didn't have to deal with them as well. TheYankess can't buy a win right now bugs or no bugs.

Football players play with broken bones and in single degree temps. The Packers must be laughing at the Yankees. Bugs? BUGS??? Suck it up and play. Millions of dollars to play a kids game and all they do is whine. Boo hoo. Take your ball and go home. Go Sox!

That's a pretty good idea to have safety googles on because of the bugs and because the pitcher couldn't see Posada with the signs of what to pitch. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!!

If Yankees fans are complaining they should probably ask why Joe Torre didn't ask to stop the game until the bugs went away. He had the option.

I notice the bugs were not partial. They bothered the Cleveland players, too.

goggles or not if you have all those gnats on your neck?!?!? you think he can still pitch? he was covered with them. he wouldve had to become bubble boy in order to pitch as he normally does.

ohhh yeah whoopie doo.. green bay packers are covered from head to toe in all sorts of protective gear... thats a really crappy case you have up there.
