and had never even been off the road in them!
made me giggle!

Why do you need a 4x4 if you live in a huge city?

I know everyone has their choice, but I live in the sticks and own a caravan and horses so feel justified in having a 4x4 to get around the place efficiently (not a huge, top of the range one either)
But I see other women drivers especially, who drive them in cities and wonder whether they know what hill decent/4 wheel drive etc are really for?!

Ps I do, and use it a lot out here.

what is your opinion?

I see what you mean, in a way it's kind of a waste of a nice 4x4. Although it certainly isn't hurting anyone so I don't see an actual problem with it. They have the right but it's still just silly to have a capable 4x4 in a place where the elevation doesn't even change and there is no dirt in sight. I see what you mean I wish I could have seen that program!

Hi, I didn't see the programme but I think I know where you are coming from.
I am a farmers wife and live in a very rural area.
We use Landrovers to get around to see to the animals and out to the land etc.

Why a city dwelling beautifully manicured Young mum needs a 4x4 vehicle is a mystery to me.
You can get all your kids in a people carrier for instance.

The 4x4 was designed to travel off the road and for folks like us, the streets of the cities are perfectly suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles!!!

And yes I do live out in the sticks.
