there is no magical money pot, only hardworking taxpayers...

Make them personally pay for their ideas.

Want to really fix the government? Make every working adult personally write a check every week for their own tax bill. In other words, no withholding, just write a check every week.

Want to fix Social Security? Make the Senator's and Congressmen retire under the same plan as the rest of us poor working folks. They will fix it tomorrow.

Liberals are total morons. Don't try to reason with them, just get them out of office and keep them out. All they want is to turn the United States into the second Russia. It did not work there and it will not work here. Socialism does not work.

Any questions?

We understand that perfectly it was Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 who cut taxes but didn't cut spending, resulting in massive borrowing and huge deficits the likes of which had never been seem under any democratic administration. Even if if you accuse democrats of tax and spend, at least that policy shows an understanding that funding doesn't come out of thin air and that borrow and spend is the more irresponsible way to go - neocons are the ones who seem to believe in a magical money pot...and GW Bush is the prime example.

They apparently know that better than the republicans who have spent us into record deficits. The old republican claims to fiscal responsibility don't pass the smile test in light of the way they have over spent in the past few years.
In addition it was the democrats who imposed the Paygo budget rules requiring congress to offset the cost of tax cuts or spending on new entitlement programs by finding savings elsewhere in the budget to avoid adding to the deficit. That seems pretty responsible to me. Why didn't the republicans ever think of doing something like that? For that matter, why did most republicans oppose it?

I think it begins with childhood, unfortunately. It is too easy to spoil our children. We've had it so good in the US.

This year will be the year my child and I spend Thanksgiving at the community kitchen. Working.

ADDED: Sharing personal stories might help. I live at around 200% of the poverty line as a self-employed attorney. Some of it is my choice, because I refuse to sacrifice my fatherless son to the god of money... But I've noticed a growing attitude among the indigent people I defend criminally: They believe a greater social stratification exists than really does. I blame Liberalism for this myth.

The libs understand this!Remember Clinton left office with a surplus and that was paying off the national debt!
What did Bush do?8 years of deficit spending giving the wealthiest people the biggest tax cuts he could!

And morons keep praising him for being sooooooo conservative!

You mean like Hitlery Clinton's moronic idea of giving every newborn in America 5k to start life and then NOT SAYING WHERE SHE'LL GET THE CASH??

There's no reasoning with idiocy like this, man; they just don't get it. No explanation is good enogh or plain enough for idiots of this ilk to understand.

You can't reason with them .They are childish, ignorant or just plain stupid.Government fails at everything they run. The private sector is the answer. Some hard working person will do it cheaper, faster and smarter than government every time. They might as well offer to make everyone a millionaire.
