My parents' car has a rear tire that has a nail in it, and it is down to 10-15 pounds of tire pressure. Would it be safe for them to drive their car 6 miles to the car dealership to have the tire changed?

Absolutely not. If luck was on their side they may get there OK, but it is risky and dangerous. The tire could blow or come off the rim at any point causing an accident. Also, a nail hole in a tire can be repaired very inexpensively, where as if they drive on the flat, it would destroy the tire and possibly the rim. Change that tire for them!

It's not really safe
Change the wheel and then take it

If the tyre goes totally flat the rim will be ruined. Then putting a new tyre on it would be pointless
