Do you mean literally or figuratively?

If we're talking about a literal bridge here, I want mine based on good Engineering, not faith.

Faith has its own sphere of influence well beyond Engineering and well beyond my comprehension.

A physical bridge demands physical labor to build it so that one can cross a bridge.

A bridge of faith means that one believes in the person's message and accepts it as true.

A bridge of learning means the pupil accepts the words of the teacher and applies it to the lesson the teacher as taught. If the student rejects the teacher's instruction it is not because of his lack of faith in what the teacher has taught him. Rather it is his lack of understanding the lesson that is taught.
